Getaround with Pride

Jun 25, 2015 1 min read

With San Francisco Pride right around the corner, we wanted to share some ways to #getaroundwithpride this weekend. We believe in creating and growing a Getaround community that is grounded in inclusivity. Wherever we are and wherever we go, we are committed to celebrating all gender identities and sexual orientations.

  1. Kick off Pride with the La Garçonne Gala this Thursday, June 25th at 6:00 pm. The nonprofit gala will bring together art, music, and fashion inspired by queer politics.

Looking for something less formal? Check out the variety show Moonlighting SF at 50 Mason Social House at 7:00 pm or Ian Mackinnon’s Gay Music Revolution at SAFEhouse Arts  also at 7:00 pm.

  1. Participate in the Trans March. This year’s theme is “Power Through Visibility.” The march begins at 6:00 pm this Friday, June 26th. Meet on Dolores Street between 18th Street and 19th Street.

  2. Attend the San Francisco Pride Celebration, the nation’s largest LGBT gathering. This year’s theme is “Equality Without Exception.” The parade kicks off this Sunday, June 28th, at 10:30 am. Meet on Market Street between Main Street and Beale Street.

Not in San Francisco this weekend? Participate virtually! Join the global online Pride Parade by creating your own Google Androidify character. Check out ours here!

Here’s to living every day as a day to #getaroundwithpride!
